The Central Coast Washed-up Celeb Hour!

Not only am I able to stand outside the Santa Maria Courthouse with a sign saying "Michael is Innocent," I now know the current whereabouts of the stunning vixen Yvonne de Carlo, known to most as the mother on "The Munsters". According to my new X-ray technician friend, Yvonne has fallen on hard times and lives in a trailer park behind the Vons in Nipomo. Poor lady. Of course, her misfortune isn't going to stop me from taking yet another opportunity to gossip about really, really second-rate actors. I can't help it. I'm just a great believer in the public's right to know.

Hey Polly, do you think you would have the nerve to knock on her door and give her some cookies and ask for an autograph? Just think of the stoies you might hear if you became friends with a washed up celebrity. You could write a book about it, then I would help you adapt it to a screenplay, and you could each play yourselves, and everyone would know you are a genius -as I know you are- it would be like that Tuesdays with Maury book that was such a hit, only it would be something that would intrest me. ;D
Love,
Derek

I don't know what would be worse, though; having early success and then nothing, or trying your whole life to be successful and getting nowhere? But, yeah, it's really sad. Apparently Yvonne's husband died and left her with tons of bills.

This may be just an unfounded rumor as De Carlo has been divorced from stuntman Bob Morgan since the early 70s; he was seriously injured in a famous railway scene from How The West Was Won ('62 or '63) which brought her to TV and various big screen appearances, though she has not worked since a mild stroke in '97. Her son Bruce Morgan was interviewed on a fairly recent A&E Bio of her and mentioned she lives in a retirement community overlooking a golf course in Solvang. But, knock on the door if you think there is somthing to find there, would be interesting to hear the result.
