the firefly express

I started working on a poem today. I'm not sure if you can call it writer's block if you haven't written much of anything for about a year. I think that might be called something else. But at any rate, I felt better about myself for a few minutes. I've been reading Cathedral by Raymond Carver on BART, and it's kind of blowing my mind, even though I've read it before. It made me want to write.
