May 2008: SF Bay Guardian's Maker Faire Top 5: Best of Bazaar Bizarre
"In her bright yellow tights and cowgirl boots, maker Polly Conway presented one of the most colorful booths in all of Bazaar Bizarre. Dangling from her neck: one of her $30 bird-in-a-cage pendants. On her finger: a red ring with a white bird sitting on top. She finds much of her vintage and vintage-inspired jewelry and materials by scouring the Internet. Sometimes Conway finds herself importing pieces from the most unexpected reaches of the world. The origins of funky plastic Y-shaped piece pictured above? Lithuania. Very cowgirl, indeed."
