Aside from having the cutest name in jazz, Blossom Dearie also had the cutest voice. Her versions of American standards are amazing, and really great to listen to with your morning coffee.
I was first introduced to her by my friend Lauren, who has impeccable taste in everything. Here is a haunting and inexplicably heartbreaking Schoolhouse Rock song, "Figure 8," which is a perfect showcase for her awesome talent.
