booky wooks

Just wanted to show off some of my books. I can't resist free books on the street, and there's been a lot of great free piles in the hood lately! Just this week I found one called The Loom of Language which looks fun, as well as Rosalind Russell's autobiography and Interview With a Vampire. I've also been hoarding free books onto my Kindle, which causes considerably less clutter but isn't quite as exciting.

15k Useful Phrases is a real mixed bag! From the section Literary Expressions: "They became increasingly turbid and phantasmagorical" and "the zenith turned shell pink." From Business Phrases: "I am, gentlemen, yours faithfully." I really don't understand the purpose of this book as it doesn't appear to be for English learners, but for people who already speak English but don't know how to word things like "Debasing fancies gather like foul birds." ?!?
