I'm at my parents' house this weekend, and all the elements have come together to create a perfect working environment. I've got a cold glass of iced tea at my side, a "new" episode of Law & Order CI is on TV, and the sun is streaming through the shutters.
I haven't watched too many of the new CI episodes; apparently in order to avoid getting canceled by NBC, the show moved to USA Network, and now has a more dramatic, character-driven focus. Vincent D'Onofrio is in one of his chubby phases, and little Katherine Erbe is talking about her feelings a lot more. But, as I am the biggest addict on the West Coast, having now surpassed my own father, I'll take what I can get.
A few years ago, I found some amazing Law & Order valentines by artist Brandon Bird. He was watching many episodes a day, which is easy to do if you have cable and are unemployed or a night owl. It resulted in some hilarious and sometimes eerie artwork.
Now I'm going to get to work! I have an absurd amount of sewing to do. We'll see how it goes!

Ok, you can take the west coast, but I get the east. I was in a mild torment because the new episode and another older that I hadn't seen before were on at the exact same time. Tivo-less I had to make a choice. I opted for the new. I like his chubby phases.
