Big Momma VS. my momma...spare kidney, anyone?
I have much bigger problems than this one, but I just can't shake the return of Martin Lawrence as "Big Momma." How many times do I have to say it: fat suit does not equal funny! For heaven's sake. Certain lowbrow humor I love, but somehow, fat suit comedy just doesn't cut it for me. Plus, I hate Martin Lawrence in his usual weasely incarnation anyway. The media is trying to make me insane.
In other news, more trouble on the home front. My mom needs a kidney transplant ASAP. I don't know much about this so far, other than the fact that my brother and I are the main candidates for donation, obviously. But we haven't found out if we're compatible or not, blah blah blah, bottom line; I am terrified.
I never thought I'd be this desperate to be told, "Yes, please, we want your kidney."
Non-kidney news: I'm in SLO, watching Back to the Future, have a great manicure, got my student loan check, drinking Diet Dr. Pepper, possible complete mental collapse due any day now, trying to find some kind of balance.

polly, my thoughts are with you. unfortunately, my kidneys (both) were terribly infected when i was five, and are thusly unofferable, but if they were, one could certainly be your family's to keep.
and, yes, martin laurence = bad bad bad.
hey miss polly,
life is real crazy sometimes.
know that lots of people love you.
and are sending best wishes for you and your mom.
xo
alice
i love you.
Dearest Pols, I am sending you and your mom all my good thoughts. I love you and miss you.
I'm thinking of you and hoping for the best. Can I do anything? Let me know!
Hi Polly, we are all thinking about you here in Japan, too, and sending our love!
um, my kidneys don't cost much. I treated them good for a while, no ibuprofen or medicine of any kind for all the years I was a vegetarian (3), but later I didn't. (And actually before that I didn't also)
