When I bought this awesome suitcase for a mere $6.00 yesterday, I was ecstatic! Then I opened it up and discovered that it was filled with treats! Two art deco matchboxes, a plastic flower, one ceramic doll hand, and a bunny ear. Yes, that's right, a bunny ear. I collected the treasures and vacuumed the inside of the suitcase, which was pretty musty. I can't believe how pretty the fabric is. The whole thing stinks to high heaven, but I don't care. It's the best find I've found since the paper dress! I'm going to use it to display my purses and pouches at craft fairs.

Cute suitcase and display... maybe you can take out the smell with the information I found on the internets:
Fabric dryers sheets inside, leave outside in sun, closed.
Baking soda and then vacuum...
Diluted ammonia water sprayed on.
I have some fabric I just got from my mother which is also super musty and I'm going to try the ammonia trick on it since I can't wash it.
This is the end of Ted's hints from heloise.
This is a great find. I saw a DIY prog where someone used a suitcase as a wall cabinet for keys & caps.
